An unfortunate end to a consistent run of races for the Unitronic JDC-Miller MotorSport Audi TCR at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in the final event of the season. While once again showing great speed and being the fastest car during practice, an abnormal engine issue forced the team to retire just after half way mark of Friday’s 120 minute season finale.

CarBahn with Peregrine Racing Finds Strength in Adversity at Road America
CarBahn with Peregrine Racing showcased adaptability at Road America. The No. 93 Audi R8 GT4 LMS had one of its most progressive weekends to date at Road America. The long-time pairing of Mark Siegel and Tom Dyer were able to efficiently communicate setup changes to engineer and strategist Steve Dinan getting the car ideally balanced for qualifying. An early race incident caused them to retire early, but the team is walking away from the weekend proud of the strides it made.

CarBahn with Peregrine Racing pushes forward after a weekend of trials and growth. Road America tested both the drivers and crew of the No. 39 Audi R8 GT3 LMS with ever-changing weather and hectic on-track activity. After torrential rain significantly cut the teams practice time engineer and strategist Steve Dinan had to maximize the drivers’ feedback in order to get the car balanced for qualifying. Well-practiced pit stops, and thorough communication aided in the teams efforts ultimately resulting in a tenth place finish.

Manufacturer Audi Sport are celebrating as James Sofronas pilots a seasoned Audi R8 LMS Ultra (#14 GMG Racing) to victory in the first race of a double-header weekend at the Music City Grand Prix. Starting from P1, Sofronas lost the lead right out of the gate and had to work to recapture the top spot while defending from podium-seeking competitors.

Halfway There: CarBahn with Peregrine Racing Race Into Second Half of IMSA Season
CarBahn with Peregrine Racing is welcoming in the second half of the 2021 season at Road America. The Audi Customer Racing supported group is headed into Road America with its signature black and green machines; the No. 39 Audi R8 GT3 LMS and the No. 93 Audi R8 GT4 LMS. The 14 turn, 4.048-mile course features sweeping turn sequences and long straights that typically are uncomplimentary to the R8 platform. However, the CarBahn with Peregrine Racing group has been focusing on pit performance and driver race craft to maximize the strengths of its program and overcome any on-track lack it may have.

Season Best Finish for No. 93.
CarBahn with Peregrine Racing finished seventh at Lime Rock Park, a 2021 personal best for the black and green machine. The No. 93 Audi R8 GT4 LMS started its weekend strong topping the charts in Practice One. The fast-paced event provided the team with only 36 hours for two practices, qualifying and the Lime Rock 120 making each session crucial. Drivers Nolan Siegel and Tom Dyer maximized their seat time and learning to earn the No. 93 its best finish of the season.

CarBahn with Peregrine Racing capped off its Watkins Glen International stay with a fourth-place finish. The No. 39 Audi R8 GT3 LMS began its weekend on a high note with a third-place qualifying lap by driver Richard Heistand. With limited track time for this event Engineer and Strategist Steve Dinan was required to work his magic to provide the drivers with a perfectly balanced car. As always, Dinan delivered, presenting the drivers with a fast car in all conditions, even in the erratic rain.

Six Hours of The Glen Weekend Recap
The first races of the double header at Watkins Glen International is now complete. Carbahn with Peregrine Racing and NTE Sport continued to show the paddock that the Audi R8 LMS GT3 is a formidable competitor. Penalties kept both teams off the podium regardless of the impressive performance. McCann Racing with Michael McCann Jr. and Andrew Davis piloted the top finishing Audi R8 LMS GT4 in the four hour endurance race.

First Trophies For The Audi RS 3 LMS on Debut
The new second-generation Audi RS 3 LMS clinched its first World Cup trophies on its racing debut. Privateer Tom Coronel won the Trophy classification in the first sprint at the opening round of the 2021 FIA WTCR season at the Nürburgring, while Gilles Magnus decided this class in his favor in the second sprint. After a fight to catch up, the Frenchman Nathanaël Berthon secured sixth place at the end of the race weekend and thus the best result for Audi Sport customer racing.

Intensive Development of The New Audi RS 3 LMS
Following the world premiere of the Audi RS 3 LMS on February 5, Audi Sport’s new TCR model is undergoing an intensive testing program. A wind tunnel test at Ingolstadt was followed by the first runs on race tracks at Castellolà in Catalonia, Vallelunga near Rome and Aragon in northern Spain. The other stages have also already been scheduled until the car’s racing debut in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup in the summer.

Mikey Taylor wins a race full of drama at Daytona
Mikey Taylor and his codrivers Chris Miller and William Tally claimed a glorious TCR class victory in the opening round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge at Daytona International Speedway. At the end of a 4-hour race that provided lots of drama, the South African drove his JDC-Miller Motorsports Audi RS 3 LMS to take the chequered flag only seven tenths ahead of Ryan Eversley in one of the Atlanta Speedwerks Honda Civic Type R cars, while Steven Simpson completed the podium in the Michael Johnson Racing Hyundai Veloster N, as he stole third place from the Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai Veloster of Michael Lewis by 33 thousandths.

Irish Mike’s Racing Set for World Racing League Campaig
Irish Mike’s Racing will head to New Orleans Motorsports Park (NOLA) to start the 2021 World Racing League (WRL) season this weekend. Audi Sport customer racing can look back on a list of outstanding successes at the end of a highly compressed season with its customers. Even though the number of races worldwide in the 2020 pandemic year was down by around 37 percent, the Audi Sport customer racing models were similarly successful in their categories as in the previous year.

Disappointing Season Opener for Audi Sport
At the incredibly thrilling season-opening round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC), Audi Sport fell short of its own expectations. After racing cars from seven different manufacturers had qualified in the top ten, Audi headed into the Bathurst 12-hour race feeling optimistic. However, setbacks hampered all three of Audi Sport Team Valvoline’s racing cars. The best result for the Audi R8 LMS was achieved by the Australian customer team Hallmarc, claiming third place in its class.

Unitronic Audi Battlers Adversity at VIR
The Unitronic No.17 Audi RS 3 LMS battled adversity in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Virginia is for Racing Lovers 120 at VIRginia International Raceway this past weekend. IndyCar driver Gabby Chaves kicked off the weekend with a commanding start, putting down the fastest lap in the first practice session, showing a strong pace. South African sportscar debutant Julian Van der Watt took the seat in second practice, laying down a handful of strong laps but an issue forced an early end to the session. The crew at JDC-Miller MotorSports quickly diagnosed the issue to be fuel pump related and repaired it for what was supposed to be a third practice session right into qualifying.

First victory for Audi R8 LMS GT4 in the United States
GMG Racing celebrates first American success for Audi R8 LMS GT4: James Sofronas and Alex Welch stood on the top step of the podium in the SprintX season opener of the Pirelli World Challenge. The two Americans from Team GMG Racing won the second single race of the opening event on the circuit of Austin, Texas, achieving the first victory for the new customer sport race car in North America. After the one-hour race, the advantage of their Audi R8 LMS GT4 was 3.3 seconds. With 37 entrants the GT4 category in the Pirelli World Challenge is one of the best-filled GT4 classes worldwide. Sofronas, who is both the team's owner and a driver, is ranked in third place of the standings after two of a total of eight individual races in the GTS class of the SprintX classification.
